On July 19, 1963 — With one out and a man on in the 9th, Roy Sievers hits his 300th career home run to give the Philadelphia Phillies a 2 – 1 win over the New York Mets. Roger Craig is the victim, his 13th straight loss.

Sievers becomes the 22nd player to reach 300 home runs.
