On November 26, 1965 : Los Angeles Dodgers 2B Jim Lefebvre wins the NL Rookie of the Year Award, beating runner-up, Houston Astros 2B Joe Morgan (163 hits, 12 triples, 14 HR, 100 runs, 20 SB, league-leading 97 BB, .271 BA, .373 OBP, .791 OPS), 13-4 points. In ’65, Lefebvre had 136 hits, 12 HR, 69 RBI, 71 BB, .250 BA, .337 OBP, & .706 OPS.
