On October 22, 1987 — The St. Louis Cardinals win their third straight home game, 4 – 2, against the Minnesota Twins, and take a 3-2 lead in the World Series.

The Cardinals 6,7 and 8 hitters go 6-12 to lead St. Louis. Unfortunately for them, they’d lose the next two.
