On June 5 1989 — The Toronto SkyDome opens, but the Blue Jays lose 5 – 3 to the Milwaukee Brewers. Baseball’s newest and most modern stadium features a $100 million fully retractable roof, a hotel, the world’s largest video display board, and a Hard Rock Cafe.

Fred McGriff hits the first homerun in skydome history of Don August. George Bell also homers in the 8th for the Jays.  However the key home run was Glenn Braggs  4th inning 2 run shot of Jimmy Key putting the Brewers up 4-2.
