On October 12, 2003 — 2003 – Josh Beckett throws his first complete game in 51 career starts, allowing two hits and striking out 11, as Florida shuts out the Cubs, 4 – 0, in Game 5 of the National League Championship Series. Beckett ties an NLCS record for fewest hits allowed in a complete game.
