Jimmy Sheckard ended the bottom of the seventh by striking out and started the eighth with a walk
On July 25, 1905 — With the Cardinals in Brooklyn for the second game of their series, Jimmy Sheckard ended the bottom of the seventh by striking out. However, the same batter started the eighth with a walk but nothing was said. The Redbirds scored twice in the top of the ninth on a passed ball to win, 4-3.
