On June 10, 1930 — After seven consecutive victories from the start of the season, A’s right-hander Lefty Grove loses in eleven innings to the White Sox, 7-6. The future Hall of Famer will finish the season 28-5, along with a 2.54 ERA for the eventual World Champion club.
