Al Kaline passes away at the age of 85

April 6 2020 – Hall of Famer Al Kaline, who was signed by the Detroit Tigers out of high school, went straight to the majors, and collected 3000 hits during his lifelong association with the team, passes away in Bloomfield, Michigan at age 85.

Nicknamed “Mr. Tiger”, he played 22 seasons for the Detroit Tigers and was part of the team for another 45 years as part of the front office and TV color commentator.
