On August 8, 2009 — Albert Pujols is the first player in the majors to reach 100 RBI this year with a three-run double in St. Louis’ 5 – 3 win over Pittsburgh. Pujols reaches the milestone for the 9th straight season. Only Hall of Famer Al Simmonshas had a longer such streak, with 11 seasons of 100 or more RBI from the start of his career.
