On August 5, 1921, a baseball game is broadcast via radio for the first time. Station KDKA in Pittsburgh carries the game from Forbes Field between the Pirates and Phillies. The Pirates win, 8-5, as future Hall of Famers Max Carey and Rabbit Maranville play in the historic game.
