Ed Cole throws the first perfect game in Texas League history

 

 

On July 10, 1935 At Moody Park beating the Tulsa Oilers, 1 – 0, Galveston Buccaneers hurler Ed Cole throws the first perfect game in Texas League history. Bill McGhee’s inside-the-park home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning accounts for the contest’s only run.
