Billy Martin hired for 4th time to manage New York
On April 28, 1985, the New York Yankees hired Billy Martin as their manager for the fourth time. The fiery Martin, one of George Steinbrenner’s favorite managers, replaces Hall of Famer Yogi Berra, who has fired just 16 games into the season.
