On September 17, 1935 — Dodger OF Len Koenecke, dropped by the team, and put off an American Airline flight for drunkenness in Detroit, hires a private plane to fly him to Buffalo, where he had played previously. During the flight he tries to take over the controls and gets into a fight with the pilot. He dies after the co-pilot hits him over the head with a fire extinguisher.
