On April 19, 2016 — Euro League Baseball kicks off its initial season. Starting off with an ambitious 10-team, 7-country plan, the league scales back to four teams in three countries by the time the season begins. Czech powerhouse Draci Brno wins the opener, 4 – 1, over the Regensburg Legionäre. Regensburg’s Lukas Jahn gets the first hit, off Mike Bolsenbroek. Adam Hajtmar scores the first run, driven in by Martin Schneider. Jason Jarvis gets the win, saved by Schneider, while Jonathan Eisenhuth is handed the loss.
