On September 29, 1971 — Aj Parc Jarry, Montreal Expos second baseman Ron Hunt is plunked by a pitch for the 50th time of the season, in the 2nd inning by Milt Papas establishing a big-league record. By comparison, the runner-up in the league, teammate Rusty Staub, will be hit by a pitch only nine times.

The Expos came back from a 5-3 7th-inning deficit to win this one 6-5, on the penultimate day of the season.
