The Red Sox extend their home streak to 22 straight vs the A’s

On September 10, 1950 — The Boston Red Sox beat the Philadelphia A’s 6-2, they were tied in the 8th, Tom Wright hits a bases clearing double to give the Red Sox a 5-2 lead, they will extend to 6-2. Chuck Stobbs (11-6)  will pick up the win, Hank Wyse 7-13 the loss and Old Folks, Ellis Kinder (6) picks up the save,

It is the second consecutive year, the Red Sox sweep the home season series with the A’s. As the winning streak at Fenway now extends to 22 wins without a loss against Philadelphia. The streak dating back to 1949. The Red Sox won all 11 games two years in a row.
