Garry Maddox and Gavvy Cravath are inducted into the Phillies Wall of Fame.

June 15,  in 2001, Former Philadelphia Phillies outfielders Garry Maddox and Gavvy Cravath are inducted into the Phillies Wall of Fame.

 

Maddox played 12 years with the Phillies (1975-1986) and was arguably the best defensive centerfielder of his era. His best season was in 1976 when he had a .330 BA and finished 5th in the NL MVP voting. Garry won 8 Gold Glove Awards and was a member of the 1980 World Series champions.

 

Cravath (with the Phillies) was one of the best sluggers of the Dead Ball era, leading the NL in HR 6X, OPS 3X, and RBI, OBP, & Slg. twice each.
