On June 30, 1970, Hank Aaron of the Atlanta Braves belts the first home run in Cincinnati’s new ballpark, Riverfront Stadium. A crowd of over 51,000 shows up to watch the first game at Riverfront, which replaces Crosley Field. Aaron’s Braves beat the Reds, 8-2.
