On September 29, 1973 — Hank Aaron takes Houston’s Jerry Reuss deep for his 40th home run of the season in the Braves’ 7-0 victory at Atlanta Stadium. ‘Hammerin’ Hank’ joins teammates Davey Johnson and Darrell Evans in reaching the milestone, making them the first trio to accomplish the feat for the same club.
