Biography

Nicknamed Gentleman Jim, his best season was in 1970 when he had 32 HR, 115 RBI, 93 BB, .315 BA, .419 OBP, .582 Slg., & 1.001 OPS, making his only All-Star team and finishing 8th in the NL MVP voting.

In his 13-year career (1962-1974), Hickman had 1,002 hits, 159 HR, .252 BA, .335 OBP, .426 Slg., & .760 OPS.

Jim passed away in 2016 at the age of 79.
