On September 11, 1985 — John Tudor allows three hits in 10 innings for his 3rd consecutive shutout, outdueling Dwight Gooden and the Mets 1 – 0 to move St. Louis back into a first-place tie with New York in the National League East. Cesar Cedeno’s 10th-inning homer provides the game’s only run.
