On September 13, 2011 — Mariano Rivera becomes the second pitcher to record 600 saves, one year after Trevor Hoffman, in preserving New York’s 3 – 2 win over Seattle with a scoreless 9th inning. “Mo” is only one save behind Hoffman’s all-time record, as Hoffman retired after last season.
