The New York Yankee slugger finishes the game with three home runs and drives in all of his teamās runs in a 5-2 win over the Detroit Tigers. Mantle hits two home runs left-handed and one right-handed. Whitey Ford is the winning pitcher and Steve Gromek the loser.
