On June 16 1991 — Otis Nixon of the Atlanta Braves records six stolen bases against Montreal to set a modern National League record and tie the major league record set by Eddie Collins of the Philadelphia Athletics in 1912. Nixon also picks up three hits in Atlanta’s 7 – 6 loss.
