In his 16-year career (1966-1981), Sal had 1,790 hits, 242 HR, 1,039 RBI, 1,031 BB, .254 BA, .352 OBP, .408 Slg., & .760 OPS. Bando was a 6th-round pick out of Arizona State in the 1965 draft, the first in MLB history. Hal McRae went to the Reds two slot ahead of him.
