Sandy Koufax wins the final game of his career

On October 2, 1966, At Connie Mack Stadium, Sandy Koufax of the Los Angeles Dodgers wins his 27th game of the season and the final game of his career. Koufax’ 6-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies clinches the pennant for the Dodgers. Koufax, lost his shutout in the 9th after Dick Allen reached on an error and scored two batters later. Koufax will yield three runs to the first four batters in the 9th but strike out 2 of the last three men he faced. He finished with ten k’s and 1 walk, 3 runs, and 2 earned. 

Jim Bunning took the loss for the Phillies.
