On June 3, 1907 — At the Palace of the Fans, Stoney McGlynn of the St. Louis Cardinals pitches both games in a doubleheader against the Cincinnati Reds, winning a 1 – 0 five-hitter in the opener. He strikeout 3 and walks 2, Miller Huggins touches him for a hit and a walk during the game. Cardinal Catcher Pete Noonan drove in the games only run in the 7th, his 6th on the season.

The Reds win the nightcap, 5 – 1., McGlynn pitched just as good but errors by Pug Bennett, Pete Noonan, and Bobby Byrne in the rain hurt his effort and all 5 runs were unearned. Charlie Hall picks up the win for the Redlegs and also collected the games only extra-base hit a triple. Both games combined were played in 3 hours and fifteen minutes.
