In the final game, Rick van den Hurk opens things with six shutout innings, while a squeeze bunt and a solo homer by Yurisbel Gracial in the 5th account for the two runs. Catcher Takuya Kai, who completely shut down Hiroshima’s running game by throwing out six straight baserunners attempting to steal, in the winner of the MVP Award. It is the second straight series win for the Hawks.
