The Indians trade OF Geronimo Berroa to the Tigers for P Tim Worrell and minor league OF Dave Roberts.

On June 24, 1998 The Indians trade OF Geronimo Berroa to the Tigers for P Tim Worrell and minor league OF Dave Roberts.

Roberts will play parts of the next decade with Cleveland, Dodgers, Padres and Giants and he will hit .438 for the Padres in the 2006 post season. He will always be known for stealing second in the bottom of the 9th in game 4 of the ALCS, that set up the games tying run. The Red sox were down 0-3 at the time and will eventually come back and beat the Yankees in 7 games.

Worrell remained a journey relief pitcher throughout his career and Berroa was a bit player for the remaining few years of his career.
