The Americans had scored 24 runs in their semi-final win yesterday, the highest-scoring game in the tournament’s history, but manage only 2 hits – both homers – against Japanese pitcher Kitaro Kiyomiya today. Noriatsu Osaka ties the LLWS record with 3 home runs in a game and adds a triple as well.
