On June 4 1967 — The longest game in modern Orioles history – 19 innings – features 21 Washington strikeouts‚ as the Birds win, 7 – 5. Washington is the third American League club to strike out 21 times in an extra-inning game. Andy Etchebarren finally ends it with a homer after Brooks Robinson singles to lead off the bottom of the 19th.
