The White Sox reacquire SS Luis Aparicio in 6 player deal

On November 29, 1967 — The White Sox reacquire future Hall of Famer SS Luis Aparicio, in a six-player deal. Aparicio along with OF Russ Snyder and 1B/OF John Matias, from Baltimore for pitchers Bruce Howard and Roger Nelson and IF Don Buford.

Aparicio had played for the White Sox from 1956 to 1962.

Aparicio, will win 2 more Gold Gloves for the White Sox and finish his Hall of Fame career at age 39 with the Boston Red Sox.

The Orioles hit pay dirt with Buford. Earl Weaver was hired in July of 1968 and he wanted his leadoff man to be a productive hitter who could start the offense, and the first thing he did was to put Buford, a utility player at the time, at the top of the batting order every day. Buford became a star, and, not entirely coincidentally, the Orioles soon became one of the best teams in baseball history.
