On November 12, 1975 — Tom Seaver of the New York Mets wins his third Cy Young Award. He posted 243 strikeouts with a 2.38 ERA and led the National League with 22 victories.

Seaver topped Randy Jones, jones won 2o games, pitched more innings and had a lower ERA but lost out to Seaver.
