On April 4, 2016 — Trevor Story becomes the first player to hit two home runs in his first regular season game on Opening Day, and the fifth rookie to accomplish the feat in his major league debut. The 23 year-old Rockies shortstop hit both round-trippers off Diamondbacks’ ace Zack Greinke, a three-run home run in the third and a solo shot in the following frame of the team’s 10-5 victory over Arizona at Chase Field.
