Connie Mack, after spending a half of a century managing in the major leagues, retires as skipper of the A’s. The 87 year-old skipper, who has the most wins and loses in the history of the game, will be replaced by Jimmy Dykes, after compiling a 3731-3948 (.486) record during his 50 years in the dugout.
