On December 23, 1905 — The Philadelphia Athletics sell veteran third baseman Lave Cross to the Washington Senators. Cross had spent the last five seasons with the Athletics. The thirty-eight year-old third baseman will appear in 171 games for Washington over the next two seasons before ending his 21-year career in the big leagues.
