Mordecai “Three Finger” Brown wins his 11th straight.

 

On September 13, 1906 — At St. Louis Robison Field, Chicago Cubs tops the St Louis Cardinals, 6 – 2, as Mordecai “Three Finger” Brown wins his 11th straight. Brown held the Cardinal’s scoreless through 8 innings, but the scratched out two in the bottom of the ninth aided by Johnny Evers 41st error of the season.

Brown improves to 25-5 on the season and it is the Cub’s 100th win, they are an incredible 100-32 on the season. Brown will finish 26-6 with a 1.04 ERA and a 253 ETA+.
