On September 15, 1910 — Cleveland tops Washington, 3 – 0, Cleveland Indians right hander, FRED BLANDING, made his major league debut versus the Washington Senators. Walter Johnson was 22-16 and started for Washington. Blanding threw a 3-0 shutout while giving up six hits. Johnson only gave up four hits in his 17th loss of the year. Blanding had a career in which he was 46-46 in five seasons. He won 18 games in 1912 and 15 games the following year. The great Walter won his last three decisions in 1910 to finish 25-17. He had an incredible 1.36 ERA.
