The two men crashed together with a terrible impact that jarred the ball out of Speaker’s band. Their impetus sees lt them far apart as they fell and rolled along the ground. Then lay motionless. Wagner ran out and threw In the ball. They were permitting the umpires to suspend play. There was a meet from both players’ benches to the aid of the injured men. Speaker was first to recover and emerged from the accident with a severe barking and a lame shoulder.
