But he strikes out 12 batters in 13 innings as the Nats finally break through against Chicago’s Red Faber for a 6 – 1 win. The record book gives Johnson all four wild pitches in the 4th inning, but it appears that Eddie Collins, who opened with a single, stole 2nd and advanced on a grounder to 3rd, scored the Pale Hose’s only tally on a just one wild pitch.
