On November 6, 1935 —  Pitcher Sam Jones finished his major league career after 21 successive American League seasons. Jones posted a 229-217 record with 1223 strikeouts and a 3.84 ERA in 3883.0 innings, pitching for the Indians, Red Sox, Yankees, Browns, Senators and White Sox.
