After 61 years, theĀ American AssociationĀ (AAA) folds, with some of the franchises being absorbed by theĀ International LeagueĀ and theĀ Pacific Coast League. The PCL adds theĀ Dallas-Fort Worth, TX,Ā Denver, COĀ andĀ Oklahoma City, OKĀ clubs and drops theĀ Vancouver, BCĀ club. The International League adds theĀ Indianapolis, INĀ andĀ Little Rock, ARĀ clubs. As a result, both leagues became ten-club leagues. The American Association will re-form afterĀ expansionĀ inĀ 1969.
