Hall of Famer George Sisler dies at the age of 80
On March 26, 1973,Ā George SislerĀ dies inĀ Richmond Heights, Missouri, at the age of 80. Sisler batted .340 with 2,812 hits over a 15-year major league career. InĀ 1920, he set a major league record by collecting 257Ā hits, which will last into the next century.
