Astro Cliff Johnson hits a home run in the top of the 11th for his 6th in 6 consecutive games

On August 25, 1975 — Houston Astro Cliff Johnson hits a home run in the top of the 11th for his 6th in 6 consecutive games, pushing his team to a 4 – 3 lead. However, with two outs in the bottom of the inning, and the Astros one out from victory, a thunderstorm hit, and after a 2:19 rain delay, the game was called.

Under existing rules, if the visiting team took the lead in the top of an inning that was not yet complete, the score and records reverted back to the last completed inning. Therefore, Johnson lost his home run, which would have given him one in his 6th consecutive game.
