On August 10, 1979 — Disco Dan Ford hits for the cycle but his California Angels lose, 8 – 6, to the Seattle Mariners in 14 innings.

Ford was three quarters of the way to the cycle of Mariners Starting pitcher Mike Parrot, but it wasn’t until the bottom of the 14th did he collect a double to finish the cycle up. ford went 5-7 with two triples on the day.
