On November 27, 1981 — The Detroit Tigers trade OF Steve Kemp to the Chicago White Sox for OF Chet Lemon.
Although the trade was not popular Lemon will be a key contributor to the Tigers for 9 seasons and there 1984 World Championship.
Kemp will have his last productive year in 1982 and used in very limited duty and be out of baseball in 1986.
