Larry Herndon follows Evans’ homer with one of his own, while Kirk Gibson has three hits and his 27th steal. Dan Petry wins his 17th. The Tigers pass the two million mark in road attendance tonight and become the fifth team in American League history to go over that mark at home and on the road.
