On April 14 , 1988 – At the Astrodome Glenn Davis drives in five, including three on his fifth home run of the young season, to slam the Reds, 9-3. All his damage came off Red’s starter Dennis Rasmussen (0-1) who never makes it out of the fourth. Davis will drive in 99 runs and hit 30 home runs, he will hit 30 home runs 3 out of 4 years for the Astros, which was rare for players playing in the Astrodome. Danny Darwin comes 8.1 for his first victory of the season. It makes for an unhappy 47th birthday for Cincinnati skipper Pete Rose.
