On September 10, 1989 — 1989 – Five days after hitting a home run for the Yankees in a 12 – 2 win over the Mariners, Deion Sanders returns a punt 68 yards for a touchdown in his NFL debut with the Atlanta Falcons. Sanders hit .234 in 14 games for New York this year in his first attempt at playing two sports professionally.
