Mo Vaughn undergoes surgery to repair a ruptured biceps tendon

On February 6 2001 —  Anaheim Angels first baseman Mo Vaughn undergoes surgery to repair a ruptured biceps tendon in his left arm. Vaughn will miss the entire season.

He will never play another game for the Angels, because he was traded on December 27, 2001: Traded by the to the New York Mets for Kevin Appier.
